Tonight: Bill Frisell doing solo improvisation over short bits of film from Bill Morrison, benefit for the awesome venue Roulette. One of the best Frisell sets I've seen & certain to be on my shows-of-the-year list, this one was special. Just pure Frisellian gorgeousness, brought to extra depths by the visuals, which seemed to capture and elucidate what is so special about his guitar playing. Awe inspiring to the utmost.

Some actual slides from an actual talk I'm giving for Gamedev.world this weekend alongside Alan Dang, December 9th at 11pm GMT!!!

I hope folks get a lot from "Stepping Up To The Table", a talk which isn't actually about Starbucks or Roulette, and IS all about making games in a sustainable way.

Wow, people get mad when you point out that they made a mistake in a #roulette.

To be clear, this person got mad because I said they "let me die" when they failed to #DPS an add tethered to me, resulting in my death. They argued, with marked indignance, they didn't let me die, they just ran out of #mana.

On a black mage. A job with multiple different ways of generating mana at ridiculous speeds.

I can't really tell the substantive difference between, "I had no mana so I was forced to let you die" and "I let you die," nor do I see any reason to get mad at someone for saying that a thing that happened happened, but I guess I'm just weird or something.

I really wish the #blacklist was account-based and not character-based. There are people in this game I'd rather never game with again on any character.

This is why I love mods like #Visibility, which literally allows me to never have to interact with #toxic #players again once I've had the displeasure of encountering them once.
