Kiss Of Life concert in Paris 🇫🇷 10/03/2025

These girls are on 🔥🔥🔥! They're so talented both in singing and dancing. People went crazy about them 🤩!

This was the biggest venue in their first European tour. The location has a capacity of 23000 but it wasn't full, so my rough estimate is somewhere between 15000 and 18000 people.

#Natty told us that no other crowd had yet stomped their feet like we did 🥰

At the end of the concert the group members walked among the crowd and I could take pictures of a deeply moved #Belle and Natty.

Los Tengu, son considerados un tipo de dios sintoísta (kami) o yōkai (criatura sobrenatural). El budismo representaba a los tengu como demonios perturbadores y heraldos de la guerra. La forma original de los tengu era la de un ave de rapiña, y eran representados con características humanas y aviares. En las representaciones más antiguas de los tengu tenían pico, cosa que posteriormente se transformó en una nariz extremadamente larga, que hoy en día es el rasgo representativo de los tengu en el imaginario popular.

Los tengu aparecen en el arte en diferentes formas, pero normalmente tienen formas de enormes pájaros monstruo que han sido humanizados, normalmente con caras rojas, pelo blanco o alborotado que representa plumas, además de una nariz inusualmente larga. Las descripciones antiguas de los tengu los representan como figuras estafadoras que pueden tomar formas humanas, solo que con picos de ave o alas. La nariz los tengu al parecer fue tomada en el siglo XIV, así como la humanización de su forma de ave. En los festivales de los pueblos, estas figuras eran actuadas por personajes con máscaras rojas con largas narices representativas (iguales a la mascara de Mr Karate).

So in #TTRPGs there's this idea of a "gish" (reddit.com/r/Pathfinder_RPG/co) which you can loosely understand as a warrior/caster hybrid. Battlemage or Red Mage or a bunch of other terms are near synonyms.

Martial + Magic, and you can look up endless questions/discussions for several #RPG systems about the best most satisfying way to make on in that system

Extrapolating the concept past #RPGs though...

Most characters in 2D #fightinggames fit the strict definition. Let's walk through the #FGC briefly

Ryu/Ken/etc and their hadouken/hadou in #streetfighter, not to mention that Guile is canonically just... able to control air currents with his limbs.

In #Kof #TheKingofFighters Kyo and Iori have their flames, and Terry Bogard is effectively a geomancer.

Hell, #MortalKombat
is based on elemental ninjas. SubZero is called a "Cryomancer" in official game profiles.

If you want examples with weapons, try #GuiltyGear. Sol, Ky, I-No. Weapons, spells, melee proficiency. Right there in easy convenient packages for you.

In this case, I'm just hella interested in how what is very very common in one genre of #videoGames is a special unicorn elsewhere, but the playerbases don't have much overlap.

Ralf Jones is an all time top 5 #videogames character for me, off his design, playstyle, and place in story. A near perfect #FGC character even though i usually don't wanna play #KOF #the_king_of_fighters_

He's a big, heroic, hot blooded soldier who hits so fast and so hard he causes explosions.

He has no projectile. No high mobility special, no full scrren presence or lethal pokes. He is a close range brawler who is going to get close, and hit you cause he is big and strong and aggressive and durable and wants to do the right thing.

He is not a very special boy. he is a grown man in a series of games about angry young people with bloodlines and feuds and destinies. Ralf has no unique bloodline. No plot relevant family. No ultra form. There is just Ralf and his cool grappler best friend Clark and the scary, aloof, technically demanding orphan girl (Leona) their boss adopted and assigned to their unit.

His first super, Galactica Phantom, is a distillation of everything that makes Ralf cool. He winds up a single big fiery punch, and then he hits you. It works in combos. If you charge the super, it doesn't work in combos but eventually becomes unblockable. It loses to fireballs unless used very close to the fireball but has enough armor to punch through any other physical move.

The epitome of "shut the fuck up when I'm talking."

Ralf Jones is cool as fuck. Galactica Phantom is all of that distilled.

Ralf is just about who I'd want to be as a fighting game character

Das Bahnbetriebswerk Hamburg- mit dem 1994 abgebrannten Ringschuppen dient am 29.07.1988 als Kulisse für die zu dieser Zeit älteste II, 323 412 (BMAG 10158/1933 als Kb 4107) und eine der Jüngsten ihrer Bauart, 323 322 (Deutz 57902/1965). Kennzeichnend für viele Vorkriegskleinloks sind die großen und recht hohen Rahmenöffnungen, während das schmale Oval erst bei Baujahren ab 1950 auftaucht.
