I am using #gnome48 with #wayland on #manjaro #linux (kernel 6.14) and have the problem that in #bitwigstudio (#flatpak) to rename a Cue Marker, it takes two clicks on the respective Cue Marker to accept keyboard input for renaming.
Bitwig support says this does not happen on their officially supported platform, Ubuntu. What could possibly be causing this?

Today, after almost 11 years, I deleted my #bitwigstudio #configuration from both my workstation #pc and my #laptop, which I had maintained from version to version for all these years, just to start from scratch. 
I went through settings, mappings, templates, presets, collections etc. and configured everything as if I was doing it for the first time. Almost like tearing down and #rebuilding, #rewiring the #studio.

I am currently testing some amazing #compressor, #amp simulation, and #eq #plugin (s) by a renowned vendor that previously did not support #linux.
It honestly feels unreal to me to have those outstanding plugins run perfectly smooth and natively within #bitwigstudio on #linuxaudio. 
I expect an announcement within a couple of weeks, as the beta testing is still ongoing and minor bugs are fixed.
I am super excited about another vendor supporting this great platform for #musicproduction. 
Updated 27/04/2025: Do you like #DelayNetworks and echoes in your #BonkWave or #NotBonkWave ? Check out my #SealEggs for #BitwigStudio preset! Now at version 1.52 (built in v4.0) and is ready to use. The updated version adds colour and mod freeze options. In this audio clip I've got the drums and arp going through Seal Eggs and into Valhalla Supermassive for delay. You can get a copy of the preset from my website and use it in your own #Bitwig #ElectronicMusic making.

@jet I've rebuilt the Seal Eggs preset. Now at v1.1 and you can get it from my website. Great for extra #BonkWave #ElectronicMusic making in #Bitwig and made as a #BitwigStudio v4.0 preset.

Yesterday, I had my first #crash in #bitwigstudio on #linuxaudio in the 5 years I've been using #linux exclusively for #musicproduction. And I think it was a special one. Because, while the audio playback continued, I was thrown to #gdm login.
I'm posting this because I thought it was funny. Because, other than that, my #manjaro #gnome system is #rocksolid. 
Do I know anyone who is interested in getting started with #BitwigStudio ? I have a free license for #BitwigStudio8track - just ask.

@hughsie The last few times I've prepared a computer for #linuxaudio using #manjaro #linux #gnome as a foundation, I haven't had to adjust anything to achieve decent performance with #pipewire and #bitwigstudio (on laptops and desktops alike) at all.
@m2m @7sleepersmusic 2/2 In my case, I use an #arch based operating system with #pipewire and #wireplumber (no JACK), #bitwigstudio, an RME Fireface UFX in #classcompliant mode, a Dangerous Audio Source, an AKAI MPK261, an Intech Audio EF44, a nOb Nob Control and a few other things (see https://amadeuspaulussen.com/info/gear) as well as a handful of native plugins (no yabridge) and it works absolutely fabulous for me. I really couldn't be happier.
I finally took the time to make some custom #button #design (s) for my #obs #streamdeck workflow. 
I usually just record my #linuxaudio and #bitwigstudio based #musicproduction setup.

He's dope, go follow em! I actually wanted to write lyrics for this but I guess it was kind of cool as it was, and honestly, I felt like this was just the right moment to upload it.
so i have installed bitwig studio via an ubuntu distrobox container (main OS is fedora 41). The reason for that installation method is because yabridge (according to their github page) doesnt work with the flatpak version of bitwig and i have some non linux native vst plugins i would like to use.
Bitwig recognizes the plugins, but I can't interact with the GUI of the plugins (namely the ones i installed so far are sylenth1 and serum) and therefore i can't do anything with them. :/
did anyone had a similar issue and if so does know how to fix it?
