Remember your employer is required to allow three hours PAID to cast your ballot today if you didn't already in the advance polls.

Also, if you are in line when the polls close tonight STAY IN LINE. As long as you are in line when the poll closes you have a right to cast your ballot.

Headline in today's Times Colonist, Victoria's newspaper. What it doesn't state is this chicanery of Conservative candidates not showing up to candidate meetings has been going on since Harper days. It is all about 'controlling the message' leaving only the party leader to serve as the Conservative's spokesperson. I find it completely undemocratic.

@Adorable_Sergal For someone like me, very much looking in from the outside, this election of yours seems very much like one in which to put the smaller issues aside and think about where you stand in the *big* few questions.

I don't follow Canadian interior party politics and I'm not up to what's decided at what levels of government in the Canadian political system, but I'm pretty sure that with most smaller issues, getting back to them in a few years won't be a disaster.

Canadian Federal Election English debate so far:

Blanchet: Slightly squiffy visiting Uncle

Singh: Intense teen brother trying to correct the adults

Poilievre: Former family friend (uninvited) reminding everyone why he doesn’t get invitations

Carney: Beleaguered Dad who can’t get a word in

Not thinking of a move to #Canada unless Conservatives are trounced in the next election - it's not enough that Liberals or a coalition wins, there has to be a huge gap between winners and the Conservatives. Even if the "good guys" (neoliberals not that different from Democrats here, which isn't a compliment) win, I'd be moving to a country that has been steadily moving right at nearly the same pace as the #USA, with similar xenophobia and racism.

Not a fun thought.
