Ned Yeung
So with all Federal parties in Canada campaigning to cut taxes to the lower and middle classes, it's important for everybody to understand the defining differences, which lie in where the money comes from.

Many fail to understand that tax money is your money. It's not money stolen from you by some big bad mobster claiming a protection racket to protect you from the mob themselves. No, tax dollars are money which, when spent properly, is invested in the underlying infrastructure of the society which YOU live in and rely on, paying for things which you could never hope to afford on your own, with or without 100% of your earned income.

That is, when public spending is the goal. In the Conservative model of "tax cuts" there are multi-billion dollar cuts given to the ultra-wealthy and corporations, not just working residents. So where is the money coming from? Out of public spending. Out of your public services. Out of your public infrastructure. Out of YOUR POCKET. You are not getting a break, you are paying for more privatization.

Meanwhile, the NDP tax cuts come from a redistribution of tax burden, taxing the ultra-wealthy a tiny bit more, which ends up being a substantial amount of cashflow, allowing a break to the working-class while also retaining or even bolstering public services and infrastructure.

The Liberal tax cuts are along the same line as the NDP, but more moderate. Leaving less of a break for workers, less of a burden on corporations, while still retaining a focus on strong public spending. You're not getting a big break, but your money is still being well spent.

Bottom line is, don't let Poilievre steal YOUR money to give away to the wealthy. That's the crux of what I wanted to say. No amount of cuts to your taxes will come close to what he takes away from what is yours.

If the wealthy aren't being taxed (which is CPC policy), then YOU are paying for it, no matter what tax breaks are offered.

#abpoli #cdnpoli #WealthTaxNow
