@fn0rd from a player perspective it is not more rule-heavy than dnd5e - but you have more options. Which is nice, but can also be a bit overwhelming. The rules are very well balanced, you can play about everything without having to worry about not contributing.
From a DM perspective there are more rules, but they actually save you time and effort. A lot. As a dnd5 DM you have to balance every encounter yourself, the CR system is broken, and let's not begin with stealth...

My group is thinking about switching from 5E to Pathfinder. I've never played, but from what I've seen and heard it is a rules-heavy/"crunchy" system, much more so than 5E, so everyone uses computer-based character sheets, a VTT etc.
I do not own a laptop or a tablet.
Is it reasonable to attempt your very first #Pathfinder2e adventure with only pen and paper? Or will we get bogged down with looking up rules all the time?

Castrovel Weekend Inspiration, Part ~Zhoa~
Artist: Ioann Lossel

~Eazumae~ - Mother-Milktree - was the first milktree planted by Greenmother Herself, and furthermore is the mother of the Lashunta species, when the tree bore the first Damaya from a teatwort blossom, and the first Korasha from a knothole. Thus the Lashunta call their legendary prehistoric ancestors ~Utheaza~ - the Children of the Milktrees.

Although treesingers abound as the priestly stewards of the milktrees' welfare, in legend only the greatest become ~Ialimyeae~ - birdsingers, who ascend among the highest boughs and take flight with their allies, even reaching Burning-Mother's heavenly palace.

@stjepanlukac I was a bit sceptical in the beginning as there is lots of speculation about missing numbers, but the repeated history of dnd4 and 5.5 is a sound theory.
Good thing they were not able to implement all these monetization and monopolization strategies.
Personally, i like the 2024 rules, but agree that they could have been better.
My one remaining 5e campaign will not switch, and otherwise i am mainly playing pathfinder2e now.

I have something really special planned for my players in our next #PathFinder2e session. In order to learn the forbidden magic of the Old Gods, they must undertake a spiritual journey based around some of the cards of the Tarot's Major Arcana. Each of the chosen cards will contain a lesson they must learn in order to progress towards their goal. The first lesson - the Fool - is to learn that they know nothing, and must ask for help. Will they ask the Magician or the High Priestess? #TTRPG

...For that matter, what does it mean that Castrovel's nearest solar neighbor, which traditionally they name ~Shaealisse~ - the Blue Queen - and which, when Brand the Aslanta came through a worldgate a few years ago, named his homeworld ~Qolaryon~ (the closest the Lashunta could pronounce Golarion) is allegedly rife with not only these spirits, but also all kinds of fiendish things? The Elves have brought rumors that at the Blue Queen's heart lies a trapped god-fiend, whom they name ~Koeltheiu~ - the World-Swallower, or Roavahuqu, and who from its prison's heart spawns an endless brood of fiends upon the world. Is it any wonder that the Lashunta's other name for Golarion is ~Sankezhanti~ the Accursed Star?

I still have some questons for Castrovel for which i don't yet have answers. For instance, what is Castrovel's connection to the Fey? Per Starfinder Canon, Sovyrian has a portal to the First World (through which Gnomes have reached that continent), but what about the rest of the world?

In a world that already has sentient trees and killer-plants, dinosaur-like ~Qoelu~,and intelligent apes, would dryads, nyads, nymphs, satyrs, and ents be more likely or less likely?...

Lashunta Inspirational Pic of the Week (from two years ago)
I haven't posted Frazetta in a while. So here's some.

One of my attractions to his works is a feeling of feral wildness, as if the subjects aren't fully human, that they hold an almost beastlike aspect. This especially holds true for when I'm looking for inspirational subjects for Korasha.

Recently I perused the Interwebz looking for new, actual Korasha works. There's still not a lot out there, and most of it is Starfinder-focused. It lacks a brutishness I desire. My inner vision still hearkens back to the half-ape men of Opar in ERB's Tarzan novels, or some of the squat, almost neanderthal-like shapes artists like Frazetta and others use to populate their combat scenes.
