I’m a bit underwhelmed with it tbh. It’s very detailed don’t get me wrong, but I’m just not sure about it. Feels a bit uncanny valley.
The pop-in of objects and NPCs are a bit jarring too. And the controls and general navigation feel awkward.
I think I may refund it as I’m still under the 2 hour threshold and then see how it progresses. Maybe watch some gameplay videos etc.
So I caved and bought #inZOI. 
InZOI looks like a video game made by someone who's never played a video game before.

I'm staunchly team #Paralives now.
I didn't always use to think so highly of it, especially concerning its epidemic "coziness"/safety that I feared would end up making the game boring, non-representative of poverty, and rather drama-free... but with #InZOI showing what the "corporate AI-driven rich influencer startup" alternative life sim vibe looks like, I really am at a point where I prefer a traditional, handmade, queer-friendly indie game like Paralives.
#InZOI creeps me out. From the first time it was shown InZOI looked like it was a #LifeSim exclusively representing upper-class hyper-polished startup guru types. Feels like a kind of game that Saudi Arabia would publish as a #sportswashing thing?
I'm conflicted about the many #GenAI features. They seem quite cool in a game like this (custom objects, animations, clothing etc from photos), but it adds to the "creepy techbro crypto ad" vibe of the game.

I see inZOI is now out in early access. It's one of two games coming out this year that are attempting to dethrone The Sims, with Paralives being the other.
Early Steam reviews are mostly positive, and also mostly just people dunking on EA, which isn't helpful. I guess fans of this sort of game are just grateful to have another option now. I might have a look on the weekend, if I have time.
