Q. is there a growing epidemic of misogyny among school children?

research commissioned by the BBC suggests incidents of misogynic behaviour & expression(s) are increasing.... this would suggest not only are young females lives already being impacted by sexism, we are storing up more trouble when these children got older.

The impact of the mano-sphere seems to be growing & its not really clear how best to tackle its corrosive influence on society!

I want to protect children.
I want to provide them a save environment to thrive and talk about their troubles.
In a perfect school system kids would learn mental hygiene and get therapy before they learn integrals and the uncritical history of wars and power abuse. That would prevent so much domestic abuse, because it would be caught early.
And teaching kids emotional and social competence before teaching them applied capitalism will prevent abuse, division, exploitation and hate in the future.

I want to teach children to be happier than me, less abusive than my stepdad, more empathetic than my mom and more protective of future generations than my teachers were.

That's why I'm studying animal assisted pedagogy and will start studying social pedagogy, trauma pedagogy and environmental pedagogy this fall.

Make sure you don't only talk about social media when you talk about differences to 1920s.

There are many things that are either too ubiquous or hidden or too specialized in everyday use:
* useful encryption (unavailable before 1970s)
* LAN networks and popular internet (late 1990s), Tor (2002)
* directories, crawling based search (1998) and web 2.0 (coined in 2004, mainstream crash)
* web in our pocket (iPhone in 2006)
* crypto currencies (since 2009, intl. fallback where banking systems fail)
* web shops, online banking, ERMs, crowd funding ...

Now, in this world, power (Macht) means to know and care about hierarchical/centralized structures such as physical backbones (cables, antennas, fibers, satellites), search engines and their results, influencers and their funding, central certificate authorities, hardware production, crypto security...

They had declared themselves to immigration judges, attended court on their assigned dates, and were following the legal process. They are not criminals. They have no ties to any criminal activity. They lived in a house on the same road as a home ICE had a warrant for... #USA, #Texas Department of State Health Services is reporting the second #measles #death of a Texas resident in the ongoing #outbreak centered in the state's South Plains region.
