I said goodbye to Arthur Morgan last night, officially closing my first playthrough of Red Dead Redemption 2.

What an amazing odyssey through the American history. It's undoubtably a great game, able to reach your feelings and making you completely involved in the story. In fact, after the 4th chapter I completely lost track of all the side quests and focused on the main story, because I wanted more of it every time!

I think I got the "good" ending, because I played my Arhur Morgan on his way to redemption.

What a great last ride

My relationship with long videogames

@the_gamer_tavern

In the past I couldn't, for the life of me, commit myself to playing long games (i.e. 30+ hours) because I fell out of interest and dropped the game.

Lately I started playing two "long" (always keep in mind that this adjective is used by my perspective) games: Red Dead Redemption 2 and Mass Effect 1 (the legendary edition) and weirdly enough, seems like they're sticking with me because I'm alternating one or another throughout the gaming sessions.

I don't know if this pattern will be able to help me with other games as well or if it's just peculiar to those two specific games but I'm crossing my fingers 🤞

Have any of you had a similar experience?

I think I’ve been needing some soothing because I went back to playing Red Dead Redemption 2 after over a year of not playing just to ride a horse around or go canoeing.
Every time I return to the game I feel that sense of awe. Without even advancing the storyline I can spend hours just basking in the beauty of nature. Every scene is art.
