I am moving away from #ProtonMail and my main reservation about switching to another provider is that when I don’t use end-to-end encryption (e2ee) my emails would be stored unencrypted in its server, whereas Proton Mail stores all emails with no-access encryption.

I really don’t want sensitive emails that I receive without PGP encryption (medical info, personal government communications…) to be stored without any sort of server-side encryption.

So I’m wondering if it exist some tool that encrypts emails saved in a mailserver even when they are not end-to-end encrypted. Something like @cryptomator, but for emails.

Thoughts? Tips?

(@thunderbird is the main client I would be using)

Edit: someone suggested Posteo, but I have to use my own custom domain, and Posteo does not allow it.

Proposed Swiss encryption laws may have a severe impact on VPNs – what you need to know

Proton VPN, NymVPN, and Threema are taking a stand

Specifically, the change would require these companies to collect identification from people using their services, alongside demanding a backdoor on encrypted content.

For example, an association running a mastodon server would have to identify users if it exceeded 5,000.

Blending together a collectible card game, roguelike, and turn-based strategy game Deathless. Tales of Old Rus looks like a must-have for fans of titles like Slay the Spire. Now it should be a better fit on Steam Deck too.

Grumpy Rock Studios recently updated Confronted, an interesting sounding survival-horror game where you have to build up little safe rooms. It's in Early Access with the latest update making it playable on Steam Deck.

"There is virtually no difference between digital sovereignty and true sovereignty"

In a op-ed published in Le Monde 🇫🇷 (French daily newspaper) this morning, Andy Yen, CEO of Swiss technology company Proton 🇨🇭 argues that Europe's reliance on foreign technology is undermining its sovereignty and economic independence.

He writes:

"Reducing our dependence on American and Chinese technologies is the first step towards regaining our sovereignty. If we require our schools and universities to stop buying American technologies, we will stop tying our children's future to these ecosystems. By stimulating demand for European technologies, we are promoting the creation of well-paid jobs here in Europe. These would be European companies that would pay their taxes in Europe, support our social protection systems, and fill public deficits. It is an investment in our collective future."

This goes beyond a simple boycott. 👀

Playing #MonsterHunterWilds on a PC
- AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT
- GeForce RTX 3070Ti
- 32 MB Ram
- #Proton Experimental
- #Arch #Linux with latest kernel and nvidia drivers
- HDR on
- 3440x2440
is really going crazy.

I‘m really satisfied with the fps, but those vertex explosions made it really unplayable.
Anyway, setting the graphics to low made the vertex explosions gone, but won‘t raise the fps.
Well, at least I can play and so far it‘s fun.
