Day 26 cont 🥷🥷🥷📸🤳🤳

#Kooyong MP #MoniqueRyan had just remarked that the national broadcaster’s annual budget was “about as much as we spend on keeping 100 refugees on #Nauru and #PNG” when a man’s voice suddenly bellowed from the back of the room.

“We’re just here to ask about immigration and crime,” he said.

A meeting of Kooyong candidates led to a heated confrontation between agitators and other attendees.
In a room at the #KewLibrary filled with #CivicMinded locals waiting to hear from the Kooyong candidates about the state of the media, the arrival of the three unexpected men disrupted the calm.

Leading them was a bald man with a #goatee, wearing a black T-shirt emblazoned with the logo of the “#AustralianWorkersAlliance” – a self-described nationalist organisation whose mission includes the “preservation of #WesternCulture and identity”. One of the other men wore a leather jacket and filmed the room with his #phone – a dead giveaway that the goal was to capture a viral “gotcha” moment. The third man, dressed in a grey hoodie and sneakers, loitered nearby with his hands in his pockets as back-up.”

Day eleven cont: 🌊💨🌀🌡️

The #LNP have a candidate problem continued…

“Speaking at a #RenewableEnergy conference in #Sydney on Wednesday, #SurangelWhipps Jr described seeing two-thirds of an island in his archipelago country disappear under water in his lifetime. “For those of us in the #Pacific who have lived through storm surges, #rising #ocean levels and increasingly high tides, the phrase ‘water lapping at our door’ is not a metaphor or a punchline. It’s our fear and reality,” he said.

The comment was an apparent reference to a 2015 incident in which #PeterDutton, while #ImmigrationMinister, was overheard on a hot mic joking with then-prime minister #TonyAbbott (#dickhead) about delays during a visit to Papua New Guinea (#PNG) , saying “time doesn’t mean anything when you’re about to have water lapping at your door”.

Rules are applied only when needed.

The Guardian · Palau president delivers barb at Peter Dutton over ‘water lapping your door’ hot mic jokeBy Adam Morton

and now since april 1st is over

trying out something new, instead of posting updates out of the blue, i will now post monthly

since the last post ( mastodon.gamedev.place/@zlago/ ) i have fixed one visual oversight

during may i didnt touch the project at all, instead i was working on a tool for tagging #PNG files and on decoding utf8 text (i promise that all 0 of players who will be affected by this will be grateful)

No obvious results from web searches, so:

I'm creating an image gallery on a static HTML website. I take full resolution images (#webp, #png) from users and generate thumbnails and index pages with <figure> and <figcaption>. I am struggling with a good way to have users provide a caption of each image, because EXIF / XMP in modern formats has terrible tool support.

My current thinking is a csv file with filename and figcaption.

Have you implemented a better solution? If not, please boost.
