@avlcharlie Looks like my instance uses LibreTranslate. So that leaves a question as to whether #Mona uses the server translation service. @MonaApp
Translation question for the #fediverse specific to #Mona for #iOS and #Mastodon.
I have noticed that translations have recently been getting worse. I just now saw a horrendous error in a Swedish to English translation.
Where is the translation coming from? Apple, Google, Mastodon, other?

@Dhrystone It’s interesting how the colors pop so much more when the pictures are viewed in the #Mona app versus the official #Pixelfed app on iOS.

@crossgolf_rebel@moppels.bar Ich finde, das ist schon sehr traurig. Denn so kann sich das #fediverse nicht entwickeln. Der Zugang zu zahlreichen Diensten ist nicht niederschweflig genug ohne guten App-Support.
#mastodon funktioniert gut via Browser, aber mit einer guten App wie #mona macht der Dienst gleich doppelt so viel Spaß ...

#mona fügt längere Toots, Beiträge zusammen und beschränkt so nicht mehr auf die vorhandenen 500 Zeichen. Auch ist die Integration in das #apple Ökosystem vorbildlich gelöst. So werden Fotos, die man per drag & drop von seiner #icloud Bibliothek herüber zieht, automatisch in ein kompatibles Format umgewandelt. Auch der Upload von Fotos oder Videos gelingt idR. reibungsloser. (1/4)

@CGdoppelpunkt Alles, was man von einer modernen App erwarten kann. Die App #mona schafft es sogar, über einige Unzulänglichkeiten von #mastodon hinweg Features anzubieten, welche der Dienst normalerweise nicht hat ...

Question for users of @MonaApp on the #Mac(!).
Is there a way to deactive the right window pane of the app? I really like #Mona, but I want to use it like on the iPhone. I don't need that pane. Actually, it makes the app to big for it to permanently reside opend on my screen.
Yes, I could move Mona further to the right, but then I'd have to move it back whenever I want to see a thread/replies.
Didn't find anything in the settings.
#mona publishes toots as threads if the post exceeds the character limit?!!? That’s a huge benefit. Another reason I love this app.
