CNN · Tulsi Gabbard declared her residency in Texas. Then she voted in HawaiiBy Casey Tolan

Arresting officers realize they can lie to secure confessions. Senior officers know they can exaggerate to lobby for bigger budgets. For some, a form of “noble cause corruption” is at play—a sense that any means will justify the ends of securing social order and making sure the bad guys go to jail.

The #GOP packed the #SCotUS with his appointees who then ruled he's #AboveTheLaw.

That was the #Republican long game. They only needed to fill 5 seats (they have 6). They (arguably) can't be removed, and enjoy lifetime appointments. And just look how much damage they've done in just a short time:

They abolished the 1965 #CivilRights Act.

Overturned #Roe.

And declared the #Potus is Above the Law & can't be #impeached.

FelonTrump47 called this a “great embarrassment for NY”. He’s the embarrassment. The people who elected him are the embarrassment and will be victimized by his evil.

Anyone thinking "we can just elect a #Democratically controlled #Congress" to keep T**** in check:

1) #Project2025 lays out how T**** can do everything by "#ExecutiveOrder", bypassing #Congress.

2) #SCotUS has placed the #Potus #AboveTheLaw and declared his actions "can't even be questioned."

So, it's Win the WH or it's all over. No "backup plan". #TheProsecutorVsTheFelon #Harris4President #Harris2024 #Buttigieg4VP

Yes, the #polls are still bad and #Democrats have a LOT more work to do (they need to remind people everyday the consequences of putting #TheOrangeMenace back in charge with these new #SCotUS #Immunity powers that place him #AboveTheLaw are potentially CATASTROPHIC.)

But on this #4thofjuly, some "good" news: #DarthTraitor's lead has shrunk to just 2.9% (down from 6%) in the latest #RCP polling average. T**** may be doing rallies, but he's NOT doing interviews b/c he KNOWS what will happen.

#Biden called #SCOTUS’ decision a “dangerous precedent” that fundamentally alters the longstanding belief in the #UnitedStates that no one should be #AboveTheLaw.

“I know I will respect the limits of the presidential powers, as I have for 3½ years, but any president, including Donald #Trump, will now be free to ignore the #law.”

Biden said he agreed w/Justice Sonia #Sotomayor, who wrote that “with fear for our #democracy, I dissent.”

#POTUS #Biden warned on Mon that #SCOTUS’ decision on presidential #immunity meant that there were “virtually no limits on what the president can do” & urged voters to prevent #Trump from returning to the WH freed from the constraints of the #law.

“The American people must decide if they want to entrust the presidency once again — to Donald Trump,” Biden said, “knowing he’ll be more emboldened to do whatever he pleases whenever he wants to do it.”

#SCOTUS Puts #Trump #AboveTheLaw

And gives him permission for a despotic second term.

Near the top of their sweeping, #lawless opinion in Trump v. #UnitedStates, Donald Trump’s defenders on the #SupremeCourt repeat one of the most basic principles of American constitutional government: “The president is not above the law.” They then proceed to obliterate it.
