Speed Bin-chy!

I needed another bolt storage bin, and for funsies I decided to apply my very-high-speed profile I've been tuning. So, it looks like I can get a 1x1x6 Gridfinity parts storage bin in about 16 minutes.

Plus it makes fun turntable-scratch noises while it goes! Here's an actual-speed video. Sorry about the focus, my phone has _no idea_ how to handle something moving around like this.

(If you're curious, the limiting factor is actually the viscosity of the particular plastic. Any faster and it starts under-extruding.)

Found this fun project:

A user called 𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐩𝟏 has detailed their project - a #3DPrinting virtual #pinball machine all powered by their #SteamDeck

Some details:

⚪ Uses a 16" uperfect portable monitor
⚪ All connected to a cheap arcade USB encoder from AliExpress.
⚪ Everything connected to jsaux dock. 1 USB is arcade buttons, 1 is haute board and 1 is monitor for power

thinking about this massive topographical map we’ll finish #3dPrinting about 46 hours from now

we’re printing it in white PLA on the OrangeStorm Giga. it’s final dimensions will be somewhere in the 720mm x 650mm x 100mm neighborhood if I recall correctly (727x668x100 - just checked).

so I figure the move is to mount one of our LCD projectors above it pointing down with the appropriate map projection, er, projecting down onto the surface and then we can use that as our painting guide, yeah? yeah. it’ll be groovy.

Just updated my 3D printing workstation with a monitor arm and a Mac Mini! This setup makes it way easier to stream directly to MakerDeck, the 24/7 live stream of makers from around the world.

Now I can manage my own prints while keeping an eye on what others are creating—love the energy and inspiration from the MakerDeck community! #3DPrinting #makers #maker #makerspace

There we go - no more tripping over the skateboard in the hallway 😁 Yes, that's what I was CAD'ing earlier.

Sidebar, I have to find something nice to use this lovely Polyterra filament for 😻 it's almost too good for hooks & hangers...

Other sidebar, I also need to dust off that little ledge occasionally 😂
