Space Karen posted this poll on the dark side and tried to get his army of muppets to banjax it. It totally backfired.
@fkamiah17 They went for an Alternative für Tesla?
Sure, combustion engine for ever /s
Joking aside, the German manufacturers now also have some useful e-vehicles to offer. Unfortunately, they tend to operate in a price segment that is too high or a target group that is more likely to belong to higher earners. I think Chinese car manufacturers will also be the future on German roads when we finally get serious. So politicians must finally set the necessary framework conditions to
@ArtHarg @fkamiah17 drive all this forward and not always just talk about taking steps backwards. At the moment, there is still too much reluctance among German consumers, partly because politicians are creating far too much uncertainty in this area. Some parties like the AfD (right-wing) don't want EVs at all.
In some respects, the conservatives (CDU, CSU) as well.
They seriously believe that the German car industry could still survive by continuing as before. It's just
@ArtHarg @fkamiah17 stupidity on the right.
The left, especially the BSW, are unfortunately also very critical of electromobility in some cases. Well, I hope a rethink is starting now. Otherwise the future will be lie in China I think.
And the German car industry must finally build electric vehicles for the mass market.
@leobm @fkamiah17 Time for a Voltwagen!
@ArtHarg @fkamiah17 But the most important thing would be for the current government to restore the confidence in the future of electromobility that has been squandered. I think many people in Germany are too afraid of change. It's best to stick with what you know. German Angst is unfortunately a reality, I would say.
I think a lot will depend on how much trust is created and how clear goals for electromobility are defined by the leading politicians.
