Why the fuck did we stop putting gargoyles on buildings?!
@Spooky
Tell me why
We have cameras now.
Maybe in a few decades we will have cameras that look like gargoyles
Billion dollar startup idea

gargoyles were replaced by modern rainwater drainage systems, but there is no reason why you /couldn't/ build gargoyles with cameras today, you could even put miniature Sony CCD cameras in the eyes to watch the surroundings..
@vfrmedia @float13 @wakame @Ed_auf_Crack @Spooky maybe one of these to start from https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/295267319301886151/

its already got the wiring runs for the camera - put the camera in one "eye" and IR illuminators around both and it could "see in the dark"..

And with multiple gargoyles, you can create a live, animated 3D scene of the environment...
Add heart-rate extraction to identify and separate living entities... (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23366353/)
This is becoming spooky really fast
