Peggy Lee - Is That All There Is ?

Written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller.

The song was originally performed by Georgia Brown in May 1967 for a television special.
It was first recorded by disc jockey Dan Daniel in March 1968, but this was an unauthorized recording that went unissued.

The lyrics of this song are written from the point of view of a person who is disillusioned with events in life that are supposedly unique experiences. [Wikipedia]

Edwin Hawkins Singers - Oh Happy Day

A 1967 gospel music arrangement of the 1755 hymn by clergyman Philip Doddridge set to a 1704 melody by J. A. Freylinghausen.
By the mid-19th century it had been given a new melody by Edward F. Rimbault, who also added a chorus. The 20th century saw its adaptation from 3/4 to 4/4 time and this new arrangement, which contains only the repeated Rimbault refrain, with all of the original verses being omitted. [Wikipedia]

Canned Heat - On The Road Again

Written by Floyd Jones and Alan Wilson.
It was adapted from earlier blues songs and includes mid-1960s psychedelic rock elements. Unlike most of Canned Heat's songs from the period which were sung by Bob Hite, second guitarist and harmonica player Alan Wilson provides the distinctive high pitched vocal.
The song popularized the guitar-boogie or E/G/A riff in the rock world.[Wikipedia]

Small Faces - Tin Soldier

Written by Steve Marriott (credited to Marriott/Lane).
Tin Soldier was originally written by Steve Marriott for singer P. P. Arnold, but Marriott liked it so much he kept it himself.
The song signalled a return to the band's R&B roots whilst continuing their forays into psychedelic rock and other musical experiments.
