Jose share this picture from near Castroville CA. He said they were trying to finish dropping the sprinkler pipes in the row after transplanting cauliflower seedlings. They still had 15 acres left & then had to connect the pipes and start the irrigation process. #WeFeedYou

Francisco was driving a tractor with an attachment that plants seeds near Pájaro CA at a ranch that has 60 acres. He is planting iceberg lettuce and the machine plants four beds at a time. It is patient skilled work as he must drive very slow (less than 5 miles/hr). #WeFeedYou

This tractor driver is preparing the rows for planting of almond trees. Once a field has been cleared of the previous orchard the soil is disked and aerated for the new trees. This is a dusty job so farm workers are thankful for the reprieve the closed cabin provides. #WeFeedYou

Planting lettuce requires precise work. A machine carrying 4-6 persons will drop the seedlings into pre dug holes in each row but there is a farm worker who follows behind to esnure the plants are grounded and also to catch any missed holes. #WeFeedYou

Erika sent this pic of her coworker near the almond orchards of Bakersfield CA. Irrigators use these type of all terrain vehicles to get from one field to another. These produce less dust than regular vehicles which helps keep the trees clean. #WeFeedYou

We were sent this picture of Salinas area nursery workers in protective suits spraying a herbicide to kill weeds by a fence surrounding the field. The worker spraying the pesticide wears a full respiratory mask, but the worker on the tractor just wears a covid mask. #WeFeedYou

This flooded field was caused by March's heavy rains in Merced County, CA. Workers missed 4 straight days of work. The loss of wages affected their abilities to pay rent and cover their families expenses. #WeFeedYou

Armando shared this photo of farm workers hard at work pruning wine grape vines in Sonoma County. Pruning ends by early March. The workers will have to come back to remove some of the shoots that take away energy from growing the grapes that produce the wine we enjoy. #WeFeedYou

Liborio is carefully trimming the wine grape vines. Pruning helps control the vine's shape, promotes airflow & focuses the plant’s energy on producing high-quality grapes, leading to better flavor and a more successful harvest. #WeFeedYou

Erik shared this picture of his coworkers near Bakersfield CA. They are ensuring the trees have the necessary water and nutrients as well as the branches being able to support the weight of the future nuts. They work for minimum wage during this time. #WeFeedYou

Kern County CA is the world’s top producer of almonds. Farm workers will harvest these trees during the late summer months but there is work to be done before hand, like ensuring the polinization and watering in the months before. #WeFeedYou

Ignacio works near Salinas CA. "I drive a tracker in the vegetables. Right now, we are removing debris and built up dirt/mud to allow water to drain after the rain last week. This will allow the rows to drain and dry so the harvest doesn't spoil." #WeFeedYou

Farm workers work under a plastic awning while harvesting celery in Santa Maria CA. The canopy provides a little relief from the sun and winds on this day as they earn minimum wage. #WeFeedYou

Hilario's been a UFW member 40+ yrs in Coachella, CA. He fought w/Cesar in the early days. "I thank César for teaching us to defend ourselves. We have many benefits we didn't have before: good salaries, better treatment, vacations, holidays, a medical & pension plan. #WeFeedYou
