Trump signs order to ‘eliminate’ US education department

US PRESIDENT Donald Trump signed the controversial order Thursday (20) aimed at “eliminating” the Department of Education, thus paving the way for individual states to run schools free from the federal government.

On Tuesday evening, the U.S. Department of Education released a statement saying it would cut nearly 50% of the department's workforce.
