Das neue UI von #k9mail aka #thunderbirdforandroid sieht zwar schick aus, aber die UX ist schlechter als vorher (gut, nach so vielen Jahren K9-Nutzung weiß ich so langsam die Farben auswendig, aber praktisch ist das nicht gerade)

Da öffnest du am Morgen deine E-Mail-App, und das Design ist total anders. Sorry liebes @thunderbird Team, so was macht man nicht. Habe nun ein Downgrade von @k9mail durchgeführt und Upgrades deaktiviert. Werde mir in den nächsten Tagen wohl einen anderen E-Mail-Client für Android suchen.

I had K-9 Mail installed (not beta) and it was "updated" in the F-Droid repo with Thunderbird Beta.

I do not want to be a beta tester. In fact I have the "Allow Beta Updates" option unselected in F-Droid.

It's not a huge problem (I can uninstall it and install the non-beta Thunderbird) but this gives me a bad impression of the decision making at Thunderbird. They're enrolling people unwittingly in a beta test for something as important as email.

Thunderbird for Android 8.0b3 is out! There are two things we'd really love help testing. One is the funding feature! The initial #ThunderbirdForAndroid release is cool. Has a few UX bugs which I expect to get ironed out by the time of release. But glaringly, #ThunderbirdSync is missing and that was that I was most excited about. I'm hoping we get an update about that from the #Thunderbird team.

Just seen the news that it's official that #ThunderbirdForAndroid is delayed. I had a feeling as the days of December kept ticking by that we weren't going to see #Thunderbird in Q4 as intended and to be honest, I'm not even mad about it. Personally, I don't just want a rebadged #K9mail, I want something progressive and visionary... *cough* #ThunderbirdSync *cough*. I'm looking forward to seeing the release that #MZLA are happy with.
