Seems to me it’s time for Members of both Houses of Congress to stand up and appoint a Special Counsel or Special Inspector or Special Fuckface to stop this bullshit TODAY. Seventy million Americans receive EARNED, Disability & Survivor benefits through SS & SSI, and 40% of recipients name it as their sole income.
DOGE is fucking around with people’s homes, food, necessities, but Elmo won’t be finding out— beneficiaries will be when they become hungry, homeless and DEAD.
We never had the opportunity to opt out of FICA taxes. The government should not have the option to default on administrative services to ensure its obligations are met.
Isn’t it cute how these “christian” politicians seem to find the most vulnerable people to exploit and abuse in one way or another?

I’ll be 83 next week
and take 14 Rx daily plus two Rx pain meds frequently. If these or similar drugs become unavailable, or more cost prohibitive than they already are, I’ll probably just choose the least crappy way out - stroke, MI, bleeding ulcers, gnarled up with immobilizing arthritis like an ancient tree, or death by insomnia. Maybe I’ll post a survey & have Fedi choose.
I hope there’s an ambitious blogger somewhere who’s keeping a meticulous log of the numbers of people killed by stupidity in 47’s term. I think we lost count in 45’s.

Almost everything 47 & Sidekick have done has been unconstitutional/illegal. You’d think SOMEONE with power would have brought up the 25th Amendment and/or impeachment by now. Even without winning a congressional vote, big noise would highlight the corruption & criminality and at least raise awareness.

Cutting veterans’ programs…
Cutting every other damn agency & program they’ve already decimated…

Considering that nearly ALL of his actions have violated our Constitution by multiple variations, why aren’t we hearing whispers of “impeachment” or the 25th Amendment? He took an oath to uphold the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. HE IS THE ENEMY.
Aren’t those the two mechanisms we have to remedy this unholy mess? I know the majorities in Congress. Still seems like we could cause a bit of good trouble pursuing some action to save our people, agencies, world economies…to save our sanity.
