I don't even have time to really read this thread, but I can confirm the empty Classic Block bug.

I updated einstieg-in-wp.de and pmueller.de to WP 6.8 and now have an empty Classic Block at the end of all posts that I opened.

I’m on macOS with Safari. No iPad involved.

Quite annoying this.
