With the Big Round Shawl, I'm really counting down the remaining stitches. Currently, there are only 64 stitches left to bind-off. In other words: Only 8 more leaves to knit!

The next Atomic Tangerine project, is by my dear tester, StarStrong. She used a worsted weight yarn, and worked extra repeats to still get a decently sized shawl. Isn't it pretty in this gradient?

#StashDiveSaturday For a project, I recently had to order a longer circular needle. So, of course, I also had to order yarn, as one does to qualify for free shipping. I got this lovely tweedy organic wool yarn by BC Garn: Loch Lomond GOTS
My wavy stripes stole is finished! Unblocked, the stole is about 160 cm / 63" long, I expect it will be nice and big after blocking
#FlashbackThursday Double increases aren’t as commonly used as basic single increases. Nevertheless, they absolutely have their place in the knitter’s toolkit. In this tutorial, I show you how to work the increase that consists of working (k1, yo, k1) all in the same stitch

This is a SW yarn, so I washed it with a regular load of laundry, and also put it in the dryer on low. After blocking, the swatch size grew in the width and shrunk in height! Now I can start working out my grading spreadsheet for the pattern
#StashDiveSaturday Sock yarn doesn't REALLY count as stash, right?!
My Gothic Flamingo shawl is progressing nicely. The third ball of yarn has been attached, and the rows are very clearly getting shorter now! Have a lovely Friday
#FlashbackThursday Diva is one of my older designs, I still really love the border in the one-skein half circle shawl

My swatch for the new sweater project has been made. Onwards to washing this gorgeous RMR Yarn Co. Zihuatanejo DK yarn!
For my Wavy Stripes stole I ordered, and received a much longer circular needle. As you can see, the needle is now much less crowded
#StashdiveSaturday The gorgeous yellow yarn that RMR Yarn Co. send me, really reminds me of the yellow of canary birds. In Dutch, they're called "kanarie", hence the working title for this sweater project. I really can't describe how rich and bright this color is, in the sun it positively glows!
On this shawl, I've been done some more knitting: the second ball of yarn is almost used up. So, time to get the third skein of yarn. Have a lovely Friday!
#FlashbackThursday Small Shale is the smallest variation of the Old Shale stitch pattern, which is a traditional Shetland stitch pattern. Sets of decreases are alternated with sets of yarn over increases, creating a lovely wavy edge of both the bottom and top of the fabric https://www.lavisch.com/site/stitch-pattern-small-shale/
While the Atomic Tangerine pictured is knit in a bulky-weight yarn, the patterning is very flexible and can easily be knit in other yarn weights. Just repeat the body pattern until your shawl is the desired size!

I redid the pick-up rate on this project, much better now! The project is now on 100 cm needles, and it's getting very crowded. I will have to order a much longer circular needle to be able to make the border as deep as I would like it...
My latest design is Atomic Tangerine! I just love lace knit in bulky weight yarn

#StashDiveSaturday I've balled up the yarn from RMR Yarn Co. to knit my swatch. For shawl projects I usually don't swatch, but to get a garment that fits, with a pattern based on my numbers, I really can't get around it
Remember this shawl? The test knitting is done, so the pattern for this design will be released soon!
