I'm still of the mind that the response from the soldiers on Snake Island, the incident that kicked off the war, is the baddest badass response of all time.

"RUSSIAN SHIP, GO FUCK YOURSELF."

It's got McAulliffe's "Nuts" beat by a mile. IMO.

I've adopted a paraphrased version, dropping the "russian ship" part, as my personal motto.

I even made a sign, that I bring to every demo I attend, as it works for every occasion.

"Go fuck yourself" in Ukranian, not Russian, written on a piece of cardboard using a Sharpie. I still carry this sign at protests, as the message is pretty much apropos for any demo.

When it comes to protests and such, I just have one sign, that I've been using since the whole Ukraine shitshow began. It's a bit tattered now, but still pressed into service when needed.

I find it's been apropos everywhere I've waved it.

On a side note, those words, that phrase: "Russian ship, go fuck yourself.", uttered by 🇺🇦 troops on Snake Island to a 🇷🇺 warship, is baddest of bad ass responses, ever.

Go fuck yourself in Ukrainian.
