#Gerasimov officially thanked #DPRK servicemen for their help in "liberating the #Kursk region."

As a reminder, earlier, #Russia denied their presence on #Russian territory in every possible way.

Obviously, without the "help of the heroic #North_Koreans," the #Russians could not show results.

It is interesting that after the mass elimination of #DPRK units in the #Kursk region, no new arrivals of cannon fodder from #DPRK were noticed.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Valery Gerasimov, has reported to Vladimir Putin on the completion of the operation to liberate Kursk region with the participation of heroes from the DPRK

...

Thus, the defeat of the armed formations of the armed forces of Ukraine which invaded Kursk region has been completed. The plans of the Kiev regime to create a so-called strategic bridgehead and to disrupt our offensive in Donbas have failed.

...

The total losses of the formations of the armed forces of Ukraine amounted to more than 76,000 men, servicemen, killed and wounded. In fact, one part of the original enemy grouping and even more was knocked out. Over 7700 units of military equipment were destroyed, including 412 tanks, 340 infantry fighting vehicles, 314 armored personnel carriers, about 2300 other armored fighting vehicles.

I should like to make a special mention of the participation in the liberation of the border areas of the Kursk region of servicemen of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, who, in accordance with the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our countries, provided significant assistance in defeating the grouping of Ukrainian armed forces that had become entrenched. Soldiers and officers of the Korean People's Army, carrying out combat tasks shoulder to shoulder with Russian servicemen, showed high professionalism, fortitude, courage and heroism in repelling the Ukrainian invasion.

good thing the US is gutting beneficial ownership regulations that would make it easier to understand who actually owns US trusts and corporations while simultaneously trashing both crypto enforcement at the DOJ but also more generally cyber defense

"The companies, Blocknovas LLC and Softglide LLC, were set up in the states of #NewMexico and New York using fake personas and addresses."

As an anarchist, I do not idolize the Kim dynasty or support the Juche ideology, which is fundamentally at odds with anarchist principles opposing all forms of authoritarian state power.

My commitment is to freedom and liberation, including the aspiration for a #FreeKorea that is not ruled by totalitarian dynastic regimes.

If my posts seemed to support the regime, I don’t; @ferret does!

1/ Deep dive case study of the kind of open source contributions and #GitHub astroturfing that North Korean hackers employ to try get jobs as devs at crypto companies, this time in an attempt to infiltrate #onlyDust.

tl;dr DPRK hackers use contributions to FOSS projects to build cred, after which, armed with AI video avatars, they try to leverage the cred into success in interviews for blockchain development jobs.

I've said it before but i'll say it again: the one real upside of crypto is that the industry draws close to 100% of the incoming fire from sophisticated #DPRK threat actors like Lazarus Group who would otherwise be hacking banks.

I think it is a very natural reaction to feel inclined towards uncritical acceptance of non-western political narratives in response to disillusionment with what you know of the world being exposed as western propaganda. It is important, however, not to take recognition of western disinformation as immunity to propaganda. Disillusionment with one narrative is not evidence of another.

One of the most clear examples of this is with leftists that rightfully point out the sensationalism of western narratives about North Korea, but who ultimately end up pedalling the equally sensationalized and misleading state propaganda of North Korea.

We can do better than that. Leftism grows from being critical about the world. We do ourselves a disservice, then, when we don't adequately apply that critical lens to ourselves or movements that claim to be leftist--denying ourselves the opportunity to grow from that criticism.

Excellent video critiquing common defences of the North Korean state in the Marxist-Leninist content sphere:

@MAKS23 little #putin has the issue that he needs to get to an end in #Ukraine before he can build up a new army, unless he fills it up with #dprk soldiers and change the command language in the armed forces to #korean
with his determination, I don't think the #war in Ukraine will finish with in a decade, unless he dies and someone with new ideas may take over the #dictatorship
