Il Mondo Linux Inizia ad ABBANDONARE Firefox?
Dopo il recente polverone su Firefox (ora ha una licenza per l'accesso ai dati utente) molti utenti hanno iniziato a ricredersi circa la sua protezione della privacy dell'utente, e molti hanno iniziato a guardarsi attorno, alla ricerca di un'alternativa più orientata alla privacy.
Tanto che Zorin ha annnunciato di voler rimpiazzare Firefox con Brave:

Deepin é um OS chinês e estão a tentar fazer um ecossistema próprio, por exemplo, eles têm uma solução própria para o formato de empacotamento universal flatpak.
Terás uma melhor experiência no #zorin pelo menos podes mudar o layout do ambiente de trabalho como preferires, as traduções são melhores, tens apps do flathub, e afins.
Não são parecidos.

Hoje é meu primeiro dia com Linux; Testei várias distros e finalmente escolhi Zorin. Talvez depois mude, mas por enquanto essa está indo bem.
Tem muita coisa nova para mim, mas estou dando jeito. Fico feliz com tudo isso.

I'm not convinced, that integrating #Brave instead of #Firefox into #Zorin OS 17.3 is the best move. Even though they chose to hide most of the browser’s problematic features (e.g., Brave Wallet, Brave Rewards, Leo AI, Brave Talk, Brave News, Brave’s sponsored background images, etc).

Imagine being a wealthy CEO who spends his time claiming women belong in the kitchen and should not have control of their own bodies. Or that same CEO claiming black lives do not matter. That same CEO claiming love is only love between a man and woman. That same CEO saying, both LGBTQ+ and trans folk suffer from mental illness. Furthermore, claiming that COVID was a hoax, vaccines kill people, and is a firm, Donald Trump supporter.
You probably think, I am talking about Elon Musk, and you likely support the idea of Tesla going bankrupt, as not to support a Nazi. But who I am actually describing is Brendan Eich, the founder and CEO of Brave Browser, but when you tell people that is the case, people will argue "that is different".

Ich probierte verschiedene Distributionen auf DistroSea aus und habe auch was für meinen Geschmack gefunden. Ich machte ein Backup der Dateien auf meinem Computer. Ich erstelle eine Liste aller wichtigen Programme und prüfte ihre Kompatibiltät zu Linux sowie Alternativen. Am dritten Schritt scheitert der Umstieg vorerst. Linux Mint oder Zorin? Was ist eure Meinung? Was spricht jeweils dafür, was dagegen?
Ich möchte (und muss) Windows endlich platt machen, weil kaum noch was geht (Updates). Würde normalerweise zu Mint tendieren, weil ich das schon auf meinem Laptop habe, aber nun kam als Empfehlung für Windows-Umsteiger halt Zorin.
Ich bin nicht so unbedarft, dass ich einen Eins-zu-eins-Abklatsch bräuchte, aber vielleicht hat Zorin auch Vorteile?
