A tree with red leaf buds frames a display of orange to yellow tulips, most ready to drop their petals. You can see the golden color surrounding the tulips dark heart. #TextureTuesday in the beach sand.

Wet beach sand that has been ‘scalloped’ or ‘terraced’ into a series of irregular flat steps with curved and wiggly edges. The majority is a gray color, but there are lighter beige colors in the lees of the curving edges. There are also multicolored specks of sand and sparkling bits that are lightly reflecting the sun above, making a shimmery brightness across the surfaces.
There is also one section of the sand that has a pinkish or maroon hue, perhaps from an algae deposited in the sand along with the water.

Section of a weathered square wooden post among a patch of pink and white wild radish. The wood of the post has aged to gray and has deep, rough vertical ridges running down from years of being outside in the elements. The angle of sunlight highlights all the ridges of the broad side of the post facing us. The near left corner of the post must be historically the most in shadow as it has a population of yellow orange lichen clinging to the very edge. Half the lichen is glowing in the sun while the other half is in shadow with that side of the post. The flowers are mostly out of focus, a blur of green stalks and feathery pink and white blooms.
