"Former #Tesla engineer #CristinaBalan, who was fired in 2014, said in an interview that her entire team was threatened with deportation for taking her side when she brought up a brake safety issue directly to #ElonMusk. She’s now succeeded in throwing out Tesla’s arbitration case against her, and hopes to meet Tesla directly in open court in a case that could influence corporate policy nationwide."

You stare in awe and disbelief as the child one more time, after many attempts, place their hand on the oven element. "*sigh*... that searing pain? Yeah, that's gonna happen again and again."

In this analogy I look at the average #SocialMedia #user as a child that just doesn't learn, because they keep trusting #SiliconValley #TechBros instead of going to #WebSocial.

This is for all the wet-behind-the-ears #TechBros who hold the highest fantasies about building a future of AI, Tesla vehicles, and manufacturing plants all run by robots.

I ran across an article about how Teslas with significant mileage on 'em are running into maintenance issues, cure for which is to just buy a new Tesla. All you born-yesterdays had better come to grips with the fact that machinery requires maintenance, and if you think no prob because robots can fix robots, you're neglecting the requirement for replacement parts. Robots require more frequent replacement of parts than humans do because a part is worn out when its movement becomes too sloppy to respond to calibration.
Robotics requires tight tolerances and even when a part still functions, it'll be operating out of tolerance and when the slop can't be compensated for by software, the parts require replacement.

speaking of abusers who should not be left alone with their own children…

a reminder that the guy who said he never met Jeffrey Epstein shares the same white supremacist breeding god-complex : pays broodmares to birth his master race.

Epstein had a breeding ranch in Nuevo México. that’s why Bill Richardson was part of his social net. the place got busted & trafficked women were freed after his imprisonment.

#MAGA #techbros are a sick bunch.

I was out with my parents tonight, and somehow we ended up talking about financial political scandals in Germany from the 90s and 2000, and going into today.
And between the three of us, we realized there were a lot.

And pretty much all of them start with what we would today call #techbros having a new technology that will be hugely profitable if they can get some political backing.
It was old men in suits back then and not student bros, but the scams they did were exactly the same as today.

The book you’re holding came together in fragments. Bits of translation came to us directly across the ocean and across the embargo lines or were posted to websites and listservs. We’ve done our best to stitch these stories and essays together for you, so that you and we both might better understand the bold social experiment and revolution that’s happening right now in Rojava. Only human, I’m certain we’ve failed in places. Some pieces came to us without dates or stripped of their full context—still, we find them compelling and include them...
