@KarlHeinzHasliP if you can find me an EV that is actually affordable and useable and not a privacy nightmare, I'll gladly switch.

  • Meanwhile all those #Swasticars need to outlive my used one by at least 200.000km to break even on total CO².

If I can take breaks, I take #PublicTransport. It's just not an option and on some jobs I would've not been hired without a reliable car.

  • Plus not everyone is able or willing to dish out 5+ digits for a #Wallbox at their rented parking spot when it's not even clear that would be legal as per fire safety code at all, given the landlord doesn't even allow people to refuel cars down there and #BatteryFires are a whole new level of shit!
Infosec.SpaceKevin Karhan :verified: (@kkarhan@infosec.space)@FlanFlinger@mastodon.social no. Unless you can find me a car that seats me comfortably, costs < €4k (used or new) to buy and < € 100 in tax per year in Germany. - Not to mention I rarely exceed 1000km a month, often barely go over 500km and EVs are a pain in the ass to repair or service. And with car I mean EC Vehicle Class M1. - A Piaggio Ape 50 or anything that isn't highway legal or gets honked by trucks for being slow isn't gonna cut it and I do need at least 2+2 seating and about 125l of cargo volume on top.

You may remember when Blaine Higgs, Conservative Premier in New Brunswick, spent a ton of money buying Teslas for all his Cabinet members.

Susan Holt, the new Liberal Premier of New Brunswick is looking to sell off the government-owned Teslas.

"The automaker’s image in Canada has nose-dived because of Musk’s closeness to Trump, who imposed tariffs on Canadian goods and threatened to turn our country into the U.S.’s “51st state.”

Tesla in Trouble
Owners try to dump their Teslas due to Musk's politics, as people around the globe boycott the brand.
This has led to a decline in Tesla resale value and a massive surplus of undesirable new Cybertrucks; enough that there are reports that the company will no longer accept its own Cybertrucks as trade-ins. jalopnik.com/1829010/tesla-uns
