Took the RF 100-400 lens with me yesterday in case I had a chance to shoot some birds (it is light enough that it's an easy decision to bring it). Got plenty of seagull shots from the beach in the afternoon while the band kids played on the rides.

VELOCIPEDE SCHOOL!

WE BEG LEAVE TO INFORM THE citizens of Santa Cruz that we have opened a VELOCIPEDE SCHOOL in the Hall of R. K. Whidden, which is open day and night. Instructions given, and VELOCIPEDES hired, either to be used in the Hall or on the streets. The Hall is surrounded with seats, and ladies are invited as spectators.

Any number of Velocipeds, either for man or child, always on hand.

Went out to the Hands Off protest today in Santa Cruz. I heard rumors that it's the largest protest in Santa Cruz ever. They announced there were 8,000 people there.

There was lots of good signage. I got interviewed by the local paper.

The sign in the picture is hard to read at this angle but it says, "Dear Canada, We Hate Him Too!"
