Forest Paradise
Mossy Grotto - a short off trail scramble will get you here, the path is often traveled by photographers, but I'm not sure how many general hikers make it down here. After seeing the place for myself, it's one of my favorite waterfalls. It's not the tallest or most powerful, but it has style! I tried to do the Weeping Walls before I went here, but high water turned me away and it actually worked out for the better. I got to the Grotto just as the sun was rising above the falls. I had about 5 minutes to find a composition before the sun would go out of frame and I really liked how the water was rolling a little further back. There are excellent shots from a little further up and Steve Schwindt posted one of those yesterday. I think the photos from further back are only possible during high ...
