Again, #Kurzgesagt excels in explaining complicated topics in an easy-to-digest and interesting way. There's a massive discrepancy between what actual sensory input we have and the reality we perceive. Much of it is, in fact, fabricated, kind of a construct making us able to function at all in the world. Explaining why this is and how it happens in layman’s terms is far from trivial, but they pull it off beautifully.

Up until 8:51 Opinion Part, this video is spot on. Animal farming practices can basically be put into 3 broad categories, decent(arguably), prisons, and torture camps. So you have to ask yourself, when it is not necessary for your wellbeing, does the pleasure of eating animal products justify the torture of sentient beings.
As opposed to Kurzgesagt's Opinion part, the solution isn't better prisons, when considering less than 5% of all chicken meat in the EU comes from, what can barely be called, decent conditions, why not just not eat the chicken and eat plants instead.

I’ve been trying to limit my consumption of animal products as much as possible in the past years, but I understand the choice to focus on reducing cruelty over a more radical message. It is absurd how little it would cost to give these animals a much better (though still far from perfect) life. But I’m still a bit sad there was not even a mention of other reasons to reduce your consumption of animal products: climate impact, risk of new pandemics, and your own health.

@araucana Ich hatte noch nie das Bedürfnis nach einem. Bemalung (z.B. Bodypainting) könnte ich mir vorstellen, aber nichts, das unter die Haut gestochen wird.
