Okay, I think I'm stuck. I've moved all my thermostats (4 heating zones, 1 AC zone) to #HomeAssistant sensors and #nodered automations. The only thing I can't figure out is how to replicate a "hold". In other words, if a user changes the temperature via the homeassistant UI, the node-red automations suspend for x amount of time.

I see there is a 'currentUser' val, but I it's the same in NR as my HA login. Maybe it's tied to the long access token?

Processing out loud... #thinking #automation

So, opening the #HomeAssistant web terminal add-on in #LibreWolf results in approximately 100X magnification of the terminal screen.

I assume this has something to do with LibreWolf not reporting the actual window size to prevent fingerprinting.

It's not HA, as the terminal works correctly in Chrome.

So, who do I report this to? Both of them?

What with all the Tron news around at the moment I must (a) re-watch both of the old films and (b) I’m seriously considering renaming my home assistant Pi from HAL-9000 to MCP. Previously HAL-9000 after I’d automated the garage door - “open the pod bay door, HAL”, now thinking of what the MCP might do if it decides to disagree with me…

This is probably silly for the #homeassistant geeks, but being a n00b of #homeautomation, I find it cool...
We use a #sterilizer for our #daughter #babybottles . Once sterilized, can be used in 24 hours, otherwise must be sterilized again, as per OMS guidelines.
We always forget when the bottles have been sterilized, so I connected the sterilizer to a #smartplug that can monitor power and created an homeassistant sensor based on the power usage, so we know when the last sterilization run has finished! Spouse-approved!

I setup an automation in Home Assistant to unlock the front door when either of us arrive home, and it is the BEST THING EVAH.

This is all done through local control, so there's no cloud exposure of our locations or the door lock API. It's all standard with Home Assistant and its native mobile app.
