When I first saw one of his cityscapes, before I saw that they were painted by him, I thought, "those look like cityscapes if they were painted by Egon Schiele." I had only seen his nudes and portraits. It's interesting that an artist can have such a distinct style. Or, really, that artists can't help but have a distinct style? I guess it has to do with materiel and process, also, but, we all live in the same objective world 🤔
