So, auch das 17. Kilo ist geschafft. Neue Jacke und eine neue Arbeitshose für Gartenarbeit mussten her. Noch alles etwas unwirklich, aber es ist jeden Tag so ein gutes Gefühl. Hoffe das Wetter spielt bald wieder mit, wäre bereit fürs Radfahren. Für den Mai haben die Kumpels schon eine Tour 80 km Diemelradweg geplant, muss wieder fit werden!

Ride Theory
My #ebike ride today took me out of town to the Wheatland Ferry across the #Willamette #River. I paid $2 to cross and return. Attendant told me they usually don't accept two tolls from bicyclists, because they have to keep track of who already paid when they return, but as I wasn't getting off at the other side, he would make an exception for me. I said, "Hey, I'm on a pleasure cruise!"

Overall ride, 24.7 miles (including the ferry ride, I guess, because I didn't turn off my GPS bike computer.)

🚴 Eine Dashcam ist auch nützlich bei E-Biker!
Natürlich habe ich geklingelt, aber Berg hoch hätte mein Schnaufen eigentlich reichen müssen! Außer der Motor surrt zu laut :awesome:

Dachte mein Lenker wäre breit, aber mit völliger Überbreite + 2 x Außenspiegel ist das Überholen nicht so einfach 😅 Wozu haben die Außenspiegel, wenn da keine reinschaut?

#30DaysOfBiking Day 2:
After a long trip, today was a day to get caught up on urgent home items. So my #ebike rides were purely essential errands. First in the morning it was off the lawyer's office in the rain to pick up estate planning documents. Then in the afternoon off to the county assessor's office to hand in a homestead tax application, but by this time the rain had ceased. Yesterday's snow is mostly gone this afternoon, but was still obvious this morning.

Update zum Platten: Turns out, der "super ultra pannengeschützte Schwalbe PickUp Mantel" für #cargoBike's hält keine Scherben aus. In 2025 gibt es immer noch teure Reifen, die einfach an Scherben verrecken. 🙄

Kein Wunder: Da sind vielleicht 5 hauchdünne Schichten Kevlar etc drin, aber insgesamt trotzdem nur gefühlt 2mm Material. Klar kommen da Scherben durch... bescheuert... 🤦

Why I buy safety certified, integrated ebikes from local bike shops, a story:
I've had my Electra Townie for almost 8 years. I rode through the winter on it for all of those years. I expected to need to replace the battery soon. On it's latest tune up, there were some errors on the software update, and afterwards the temperature sensor on the battery failed, thinking it was 125C, it refused to turn on. 1/ #BikeTooter #ebike

Lovely sunny weather on the way to work, today, but 5C. It'll be 19C later when I ride back home. My friend Kev calls it "Swiss spring".
I'm glad I have that new basket. It's big enough to carry the coat I was wearing this morning later when I go back. #mdRzA #BikeTooter #eBike
