Our preferred #dishwasher detergent pods aren't available, so I'm looking for #recommendations for something that minimizes waste - trying to minimize plastics, landfill bound packaging, #microplastics, single use wrappers, and scents. We cook a lot and run the dishwasher 4+ times a week, it adds up, and have been using portioned pod-things for convenience, which is fine but just feels bougie and only adds a slight convenience.
Replacement Option A is basic Cascade powder in a cardboard box.
Replacement Option B is, at the suggestion from a r/zerowaste commenter, chasing down bulk powder detergent from a catering/restaurant supply company or similar.
#CambridgeNaturals in nearby #CambridgeMA offers Seventh Generation gel in a plastic bottle, and Blueland tablets listed on their web store.
However, in my search I learned that the #NorthEnd has a new-to-me #ZeroWaste shop called #Uvida, which has a bunch of #ecofriendly refill/#sustainable options in #Boston - and they have a powdered detergent in a brand I've not seen before, #RusticStrength: https://www.uvidashop.com/pages/automatic-dishwasher-powder-unscented-ingredients
I'll update if I find something I can offer as a #recommendation
