But not off course they are 100% serious. Well I'm glad to see that the ever flexibel, deescalating #EU is sticking with its guns.

Beyond the shameless demand that we buy American I think the main issue for the US is that we'd become less dependent on them, that we arent as easily pressured, cajoled, forced or neutralized.

Same with the desire from #RussianImperialism to get us hooked again on their gas. Hell its probably the reason why the #US is so anti renewable. With renewables we would be more sovereign and autonomous.

This could have real consequences in the #Geopolitics arena @geopolitics

For anyone in the US who still applies critical thinking to the news, yesterday must have been a tough day. How do you tell the difference between the misdeeds of their misgovernment and an April Fool's prank these days?

I always feel sad when April Fools is over. One day a year everyone gets to experience what it's like being me, shouting "that's so dumb it's not even wrong!" at everything. Sometimes it's charming and creative despite being nonsense, often it's "<SIGH> Why?"
