Encountered the word "lungfuls."</p><p>In a previous book, this same author used "lungsful," a usage on which I commented here.</p><p>Either one is uncommon enough to be notable by an attentive reader, and for a copyeditor such as I, finding both in the same series points to a lack of care in creating and adhering to a style sheet. </p><p>Pick one. David Brent 📚<p>An American Civil War spy drama ("epic" but I'm not so sure about that) that kicks off at a Passover seder? Sure, why not. It's timely, that's for sure. I knew most of the spoilers already but dang! The ending still had me at the edge of my seat!!! Five stars. (Even with the fairly terrible Scottish accent from one of the narrators. I was wincing a bit in those scenes, but I still give it five stars.) I’ll record a video about it soon. I am obviously Team Throuple, because how could anyone choose between Nick and Sel?! Honour Guard represents a point in the Gaunt's Ghost series where it is obvious that they are very different people. Hawksquill<p>Book 8 of 2025</p><p>Sourcery by Terry Pratchett</p><p>3.5 stars</p><p>A very enjoyable early Discworld! It somehow feels like it was written earlier than Equal Rites, but that could be my faulty memory since it must be over a decade since I read ER. Actually, it felt quite distinct from most of the others because the world and protagonist were permanently altered at the end, not just the usual fun deus ex machina and return to status quo.
