I worked as an office temp at the corporate offices of a large Chicago-area bank. The management there was all male. </p><p>I rarely wore dresses, and couldn't wear dress shoes comfortably, so I had pantsuits-- NICE suits, with jackets and all.</p><p>On my first day there, wearing one of my nicest suits, the boss told me I couldn't wear pants because "it wasn't fair to the men." His excuse being because HE couldn't wear a skirt, then somehow I couldn't wear pants?? (Say whuuuh??🫤🤯🤔)</p><p>I told him I had a nice dress kilt at home that he was welcome to borrow anytime, and that I didn't care if he wore a lacy negligeé. I only owned one business-style dress, and this was the 1990s, not the 1890s.
