Packed with grey seals...
March/April is when grey seal moult (change hair) in the Wadden Sea. The largest numbers, approximately 4 thousand, gathered near Engelschhoek, between the islands of Vlieland and Terschelling.

Light and shadow on the ‘mudflats’ of the North Sea

Sonnenlicht fällt auf das Watt bei Sankt Peter Ording an der Nordsee. Am Horizont glitzert noch ein wenig Meer, der. größte Teil des Bildes ist Meeresboden bei Ebbe. Die Farben sind grau, schwarz und etwas blau.

Sunlight falls on the mudflats near Sankt Peter Ording on the North Sea. A little sea still glistens on the horizon, most of the picture is seabed at low tide. The colours are grey, black and a little blue.
