Tapbots, the developer behind the now-defunct #Tweetbot (because #Twitter prohibited third-party apps from its #API), is to release a client for #Bluesky. The client, called #Phoenix, should become available for #Android and #iOS this summer. #Tapbots is simultaneously working on #Ivory, a #Mastodon client.

Die #Mastodon-App @IceCubesApp ist Mels „App des Jahres 2024“. Nachdem sie lange mit @ivory von @tapbots, dem Team hinter dem früheren Twitter-Client #Tweetbot, zufrieden war, hat sie nun jedoch mit #IceCubes ihren Favoriten gefunden. Wer sich auf #Apple-Geräten bei Mastodon herumtreibt, sollte sich diese #SocialMedia-App definitiv genauer ansehen.

You know, while I do appreciate Mastodon apps like Mona (formerly known as Spring for Twitter), Ice Cubes, Ivory (formerly known as Tweetbot), Phanpy, trunks, OpenVibe and etc, that have implemented fake quote post support, I dislike that I don't get notified when someone quotes a post of mine, using one of these apps.
When I quote people using my Friendica account, people (even Mastodon users!) do get a notification about this. Same happens when someone from Friendica quotes me: I get notified.
Wish we could have something similar like this, here, on Mastodon.
Even Bluesky and Threads have implemented that.
I miss quote feature from Twitter.
So I guess we gonna need to wait for Mastodon 4.4 to come out, since it has by idea, this feature well implemented.

@droxmox @MonaApp ist tatsächlich auch eine gute Option, wahlweise auch das kostenlose @IceCubesApp. Als alte #Tweetbot-Userin bleibe ich aber vorerst bei @ivory. 
Wie in jedem Jahr stellt die #appgefahren-Redaktion die eigenen Favoriten des Jahres vor. Mels #App des Jahres 2023 ist @ivory von @tapbots. Der seit Januar erhältliche #Mastodon-Client für #iPhone, #iPad und #Mac orientiert sich stark an #Tweetbot und bietet alles Notwendige, um das #Fediverse-Netzwerk zu erkunden.

„warum ist man hier auf Mastodon wenn man #threads und andere Firmen net sofort blöd findet?“
Ich bin nicht auf mastodon weil ich grundsätzlich was gegen Firmen habe und selbstverwaltete Systeme ausschließlich gut finde.
Ich bin hier weil Twitter „zu gemacht“ hat, mein Lieblings App Entwickler #Ivory aka. #tweetbot hier ist und einige Freund:innen von mir.
Ich bin von einer relativ großen Instanz weg, weil sie einen sehr krassen…

I stopped using Twitter when my third party client ( #tweetbot) stop working. I almost never go on the website. But I have an hard time to delete my account (yet).
Welcome to #Mastodon (well actually GNU / #Fediverse)! There are no quotes; images load most of the time (on lucky days); you can only see half of the replies to any toot but your own (on lucky days); trends are useless; bookmarks magically disappear (they probably don’t spark enough joy); CWs are used so excessively they become meaningless (just tell your client to always display everything); but at least there is no #Elon, and you can continue to use #Tweetbot (which is now called #Ivory).
