i use cmd+` all the time to cycle windows in foreground app. but can pluck individual ones from the sidebar? i also use a layer on my keyboard for cycling tabs/panes/windows with two keys.
many people like some window management type tools for #macOS (also in comments) there's at least a couple included in a #SetApp subscription, too!

Why oh why does #MacOS #StageManager lose its mind whenever you reboot?
It SOMETIMES saves SOME window placement and groupings but always requires a lot of rejiggering on restart...
These features are really random. A better calculator? Sure. Improved handwriting recognition? OK. But where’s the big picture stuff? A #StageManager that actually works? Nope. #Apple #WWDC24
I wish I could set up a #Shortcuts automation that would activate/deactivate #StageManager on my iPad when a Bluetooth mouse is connected/disconnected, but I don't think that's possible.

I've really tried to embrace #StageManager, but one of the few things that drives me crazy about it is that it causes Cmd-`to switch between *all apps* rather than just the windows of the currently focused app.
So today I learned that #apple #ipad #stagemanager only allows you to have four apps open, and if you open a fifth, it arbitrarily (and silently) closes an app you previously "staged." (Don't get me started about not allow me to size or move my apps they way I want to.)
Things like this tell me that the programmers and designers don't use their tools for real world work. 
Real problem when trying to do real work on a supposedly Pro version of a device.
How can Apple #macOS #StageManager still be so bad?
It's incredibly unintuitive from a UI perspective
It opens new windows in empty stages
It forgets the organization of some (but not all) windows on reboot and wake (for external monitors)
It shows orphan tabs in non-existant stages
Sometimes you can't drag into the side thingy to create a new stage
I want to like it. I want to use it. But it's just so awful.
@philsplace I am ignoring the existence of #StageManager on #macOS until #Apple reconciles it with #MissionControl, spaces (virtual desktops and full/split-screen apps), and multiple monitors.
It is a bad port of a compromised #iPad window management system.
Hell, apps don’t even remain stable on a given space or screen between launches or attaching/detaching from a second monitor.
I’d go insane if I didn’t have https://manytricks.com/moom to tile and store window layouts.

Seit #macOS Ventura gibt es für das Fenstermanagement den #StageManager. Die Meinungen dazu gehen auseinander. Vor allem für eine produktivere Nutzung ist beim Stage Manager durchaus Verbesserungspotential vorhanden.
Hey restliche #Apple Freaks - Gibt es eine Möglichkeit bei aktivierten #Stagemanager diese Geste zu nutzen, die beim wischen von dem linken Bildschirmrand nach innen „zurück“ zum vorigen Fenster etc. navigiert. Ich will die Fenster, aber die Geste vermisse ich hart.
