My #SailfishOS device is up to date, running version 5.0.0.57. I'm happy to see a bunch of bug fixes rolled out; thank you @jolla team for another smooth and straightforward update.
Sadly I forgot to capture a shot of the update screen summarising the changes beforehand, so here are the release notes for the curious:

Additionally, buying these devices leaves a profit at that US corporation, not at sustainable other vendors like @Fairphone or @shiftphones.
So my decision is not clear so far. But #SailfishOS is also not really hardened, only a bit obscure.

Another busy fortnight for Sailfish OS. Community meetups like the one in Bremen remind us how important it is to stay connected. If you are organizing one, let us know so we can help spread the word.
Sailfish OS 5.0 rollout is now underway. Fixes and improvements continue, with bigger updates headed toward 5.1.

What a great name!
Thanks to @thigg for the nice suggestion to take a look a this.
One reason for #SailfishOS (Jolla's product) not gaining more traction is that apart from their #JollaC2 you can't simply buy a phone with it installed. And if #fairphone (and #shiftphone for that matter) won't do it until these systems gain more traction we're in a vicious circle. So what we need is an idea to get out of this!
