I'd like to print a big map of Hamburg in DIN A0 format, based on #openstreetmap data! 🗺️

Does anyone have recommendations for a command-line tool to generate one? Ideally, you could configure it a bit, to include a lot of street names, and the subway network!

Following mappa-mercia.org/2014/09/creat , constructing the URL [1].
uMap transforms that in [2], which works when tested manually.
But remote layer of type osm fails with "Cannot load remote data for layer...".

Der sukzessive Umzug von Apple Karten zu OpenStreetMaps ist nun fix eingeläutet. Die ersten Favoriten sind schon drüben (muss ich leider alles manuell machen, da Apple Karten keinen Export hat) und ein paar Aktualisierungen von POIs habe ich schon gemacht. Ein schönes Gefühl aktiv auch einen kleinen Beitrag leisten zu können.
Als Apps verwende ich - am iPhone - sowohl OsmAnd (als Haupt-App mit allen Favoriten, da die Kartenansicht viele Möglichkeiten zum Minimalismus bietet) als auch Organic Maps (für Aktualisierungen in OpenStreetMaps). Zusätzlich ist noch "Every Door" zur Aktualisierung von OSM-Daten installiert - mal sehen, ob das neben Organic Maps künftig notwendig ist.

Somebody out there is using a Nokia 2.3 with Vespucci to edit #OpenStreetMap

Nothing wrong with that, one reason we have and continue to support over a decade of Android versions is to avoid e-waste and to give older phones a continued purpose.

But, you are causing the majority of all ANRs (Application Not Responding) google is reporting and that must be a pain. It would be a good idea to open an issue so that we can see if anything can be tuned to avoid at least some of them.
