Oh my, April flew by.
Do you remember pulling your phone out of your back pocket to text your friends in high school? Neither do I. How did we survive that era without instant communication at our fingertips? Dick Tracy was ahead of his time with his fancy wristwatch communicator, and now, many people are following suit with the Apple Watch. It’s a neat little device, I suppose. I’ve considered buying one, but honestly, I can’t think of a reason when my iPhone is always within reach. I suppose if I were a private investigator, it might come in handy—maybe I could use one to track mileage for runs I no longer take.

Sunrise and sunset -- these are the best times to watch the slow, subtle changes of color that emerge in a landscape as the light increases, or decreases.
It's not a rapid, sudden change because the sun does not hop up and down in the sky. There is a delicacy to the changes, one that nudges the observer to be patient and willing to be still.

I so want to go back to sleep, but what's the point? Ben and Charlie's mealtime is right around the corner. I suppose I should be doing something active to get my blood moving—but that's what the coffee is for, eh. I threw in the 'eh' at the end so that you'd know I'm bilingual. Hmmm. I suspect most people won't get that little quip, but so be it. I can hear a woodpecker pounding away—it almost sounds like it's pounding on the house, but it's a brick house, so more likely a nearby tree. They've been very active of late. I've already written my 'spring is here' note, but spring is here. This morning, if my house were a tower, it would be the Tower of Babble—because that is what I just did.
