I’m going to try something a little more experimental with this presentation, aiming avoid slides and foster a little more audience discussion than the usual “slide deck and slick talk” typical of some meetups; given the nature of the audience my hope is for people who build systems and solutions to come away with a greater understanding of how to shape their code and solutions to build a product with a smaller attack surface and less risk.

I went to the Nürnberg Data Science & Artificial Intelligence meetup. It was about RAG but I also learned
- How industrial IOT sensors and general IOT infra works
- How the government manipulates unemployment figures with the transformation/training programs

It is always speaking with the people over pizza and drinks where I learn the most #meetup #nuremberg

Attended an event Brewing Data with Snowflake yesterday in Vilnius

Some of they key insights:

• Medallion Architecture (good or bad) is widespread.
• Snowflake and Databricks are clear competitors, targeting similar landscape.
• Open formats are trending: file format, table format, catalog, etc. - the more of them are open source, the better.
• Time travel feature is important, many users already used it for disaster recovery.
• Clear distinction of Storage from Compute (generic cloud approach).
