I can't be the only person who had no idea that #MattGaetz created an official "El Salvador Caucus" in the U.S. Congress last year and it just so happens to be full of most of that body's biggest cranks (#LaurenBoebert, #MikeLee, #NancyMace, #TimBurchett) and most corrupt reps (#AndyOgles, who made some “interesting” campaign finance moves at the crypto industry’s favorite bank that he and George Santos chose to hold their campaign money).
Feels like kind of a lot of congressional time spent nurturing America's relationship with a country whose GDP rivals that of Des Moines, Iowa.

There's a lot going on here: (1) Trump acting as a Russian proxy because Russia gave him hundreds of millions of dollars (through Deutsche Bank) when no other bank would TOUCH him, so he could dodge bankruptcy and continue to live like he's a rich person. (2) Trump acting as a "board member" of the Billionaires' Insurgency seeking to make all government & religious authority ACCOUNTABLE TO THEM rather than the other way around. (3) Trump serving as the unifying figurehead of the #MAGAts--a fractious coalition of white supremacist, 'Christian' nationalist, incel/misogynist, and fascist groups that have some pretty serious fracture lines WE SHOULD BE EXPLOITING to divide & conquer.
And a good power map would illustrate this in detail and facilitate appropriate targeting to break it apart.
