Juggling With Eggs<p>Ice sheets have in the past collapsed at rate of 600metres a day…that’s 20 times faster than previously thought. It means ice scientists thought might take 200 years to melt, could actually be gone in 20 years. That has serious implications for sea level rise and anyone living on or near the coast. </p><p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/ClimateCrisis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ClimateCrisis</span></a><br><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/IceSheetCollapse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IceSheetCollapse</span></a><br><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/RisingSeaLevels" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RisingSeaLevels</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/apr/05/ice-sheets-collapse-far-faster-than-feared-study-climate-crisis" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">theguardian.com/environment/20</span><span class="invisible">23/apr/05/ice-sheets-collapse-far-faster-than-feared-study-climate-crisis</span></a></p>
