As an alternative to #WhatsApp usually two messengers are mentioned. #Signal and #Threema. Usually together with the hashtag #unplugTrump.
But why Signal then? Signal is backed by the Signal Foundation, located in Mountain View, California, USA.
At the end of the day it’s only a question of time until MuskTrump will take over control here as well. So from my point of view Signal isn't a safe alternative. Only Threema is left.
Maybe its time using the #hashtag #unplugUSA instead of #unplugTrump

Hace poco en #pictoline publicaron esta imagen que habla de un concepto que me parece genial, en mi cuenta de instagram compartí entre mis amistades que iba a tomar como premisa lo mismo, si alguien necesitaba hablar de algo que me preguntara si tenía 8 minutos.

Ahora, yo creo que no siempre es necesario que sean tus amistades quienes te den soporte emocional, a veces no pueden pues todes tenemos nuestras propias vidas con sus propios tiempos, y si bien eso es entendible también es verdad que quizás el dolor que estamos sintiendo si perfila urgente y a medida que pasa el tiempo hasta que alguien nos responde la ansiedad nos hiere más y más.

Así que pensaba proponer que en un espacio como lo es el #fediverso donde he visto que la gente prima el amor al odio, donde la humanidad parece ser el hilo rector, donde el individualismo extremo se cierra para abrir paso a un sentimiento de comunidad, se empiece a usar un nuevo #hashtag, adaptando el concepto original, y preguntando #alguientiene8minutos

#Mastodon nos permite controlar la manera en la que compartimos cosas así que quizás lo preguntamos de manera privada, quizás en el servidor de nuestra instancia, o quizás de manera pública cosa que cualquier persona en el mundo lo vea y simplemente, bajo un sentimiento de empatía, caridad y solidaridad, nos regala «8 minutos» para decirnos que todo va a estar bien, que no estamos soles, que somos importantes solo por existir.

Cada uno puede elegir el alcance de su pedido de auxilio, yo al menos sé que si de repente veo a alguien preguntando por 8 minutos, en la medida que me sea posible le hablaré para decirle que mínimo puede contarme qué le ocurre.

Es una idea, a lo mejor muere acá, a lo mejor se extiende, no lo sé, solamente se me ocurrió pensando que siempre va a haber alguien que necesite ser escuchado.
