I think I already asked something similar a few weeks back, but isn't there a public site where I can fetch #Copernicus GLO-30 #DEM files with a simple http client anymore? I used to use `wget` for this, then it was AWS CLI, and now it seems I have to set it up with a user/pass/key/secret_key?

I remember cloning the whole mapzen repo when it was on peril of disappearing, should I have done the same with data that's supposed to be public? Has anyone done that already?

There is a #Dem member of the parliament who has been holding a speech in the #USHouse for, like, 19 hours as a filibuster. And so far so good. But it can do so because the very modern rules of the chamber allow you to speak as long as 'you can stand'

😅

@rbreich 1) Voters are furious: If this were a fed seat, #MAGAmoron would force Congress to not seat a #Dem, 2) Bernie and AOC are drawing record crowds: So did #Harris, 3) April 5 protests are planned everywhere: BFD, 4) “MAGAmoron” is fumbling on all fronts: And, the consequences have been? 5) “MAGAmoron”’s polls are plummeting: So? 6) The courts continue to hold “MAGAmoron” and “fElon” in check...: Tell that to kidnapped PhD candidates and extradited Venezuelans. I want what you're smoking.

@VeroniqueB99 Yet, we still have people asking, "Have we crossed a new threshold?" The threshold was run over and flattened a while ago. #Dem leadership is still wringing their hands and praying for "bipartisanship" and "compromise." #gqp says, "Let's just compromise and do it our way."

Fluvial System Block Diagrams
--
I was looking to understand a fluvial system the other day, up in the high Arctic, as I looked at 3DEP remote sensed elevation data… I have always been fascinated by the how geology, water, weather shapes a landscape, including erosion (aka geomorphology if you will) – and realized how very much value fluvial block diagrams have as we try to conceptualise what has, is and will happen(ed.)

As an individual with European citizenship and residence, I used to be able to download #Copernicus #DEM files via S3 using `aws s3 cp --no-sign-request "s3://copernicus-dem-30m/"`, but today I noticed that the whole region over Azerbaijan and Armenia are not available:

Does anyone have a link to a doc about how to download DEMs now? It seems like last year they changed the way to do it, but a) the site returns 404; and b) the instructions are not clear.

Geographic Information Systems Stack ExchangeMissing GLO-30 Copernicus files in s3://copernicus-dem-30m/I tried to download the DEMs for Türkiye with this command: aws s3 cp --no-sign-request \ "s3://copernicus-dem-30m/Copernicus_DSM_COG_10_N42_00_E029_00_DEM/
